Composite Hose provides a unique and highly customizable solution for applications that demand flexibility, durability, and chemical compatibility. It’s construction traps specially formulated layers of film and textile reinforcement between exposed inner and outer helical wires. The result is a hose that is lighter in weight, highly flexible, and capable of long term service in demanding applications.
This multi-layer design allows composite hose to be tailored to a wide range of chemical and petrochemical applications. The multi layered construction provides the added benefit of a non-permeable barrier, helping improve containment, safety, and performance.
Composite hose assemblies are fabricated with the inner and outer wires fully in contact with the hose coupling, allowing for a fully grounded assembly. Every hose is then hydrostatically tested during final inspection.
Wire reinforcement options include stainless steel, galvanized steel, polypropylene-coated steel, and aluminum, with differing inner and outer wire combination possible, allowing for compatibility most any application.
We offer composite hose in sizes ranging from 1″ ID to 12″ ID, and service temperatures from -22°F to +212°F (-30°C to +100°C). Specialized constructions are also available for high-temperature and cryogenic service.
Common applications Include:
- Ship-to-Shore transfer
- Refinery and petrochemical plants
- In-plant and storage terminal transfer
- Rail and tank truck loading / bottom unloading
- Hazardous waste recovery and transfer
- Vapor Recovery
- Cryogenic service including liquid nitrogen
Key Benefits:
- Customizable tube, reinforcement, and coupling combinations
- Greater flexibility than most traditional hose designs
- Multi-layer construction provides non-permeable performance
- Full end-to-end electrical continuity
- Excellent chemical compatibility
- 100% testing during fabrication
- High-temperature and cryogenic options available
- UV, ozone, chemical, and oil resistant
- Wide range of couplings configurations, including PTFE encapsulation
- Compliance with various U.S. and international standards, including U.S.C.G., BS 5842, EN 13765:2010, and EN 13766:2010; heavy-duty marine transfer hoses may also be supplied to meet applicable IMO, BCH, and IBC requirements

Composite Hose is supplied as a prefabricated assembly only.
Due to the specialized nature of the construction, standard hose couplings are not compatible and field repairs are not possible.
